MVC 17U Earns a Bronze at Provincials

Coming 19th, third place in Division 1 Tier 3, MVC 17U competed against the best teams of the province all weekend. Day 1 included losses against Pakmen (placed 2nd overall) and Storm Typhoon (placed 4th) and a victory over Forest City 16U 25-15, 25-18, the top ranked team at 16U. Day 2 included 3 incredibly close losses against strong competition.

On day 3 of the competition, MVC defeated Vision Volleyball 25-14, 23-25, 17-15 in the quarter finals, lost to Lakeside 23-25, 25-13, 6-15 in the semi-finals, and beat Leaside Lightning 16U in the bronze medal match 25-12, 25-13. Losses were always close on days 1 and 2, and with over 800 points played, MVC ended up with a +5 point differential. The team played well throughout the weekend, and look ahead to compete against the best teams consistently.
